Sveafastigheter combines leadership of new constructions and business development as part of the company's focused growth strategy
Sveafastigheter combines the new construction and business development functions under one leadership and creates Head of Business Development as a new role. The company has appointed Lars Gärde as Acting Head of Business Development. A recruitment process has been initiated to find a permanent solution. With the appointment of a permanent Head of Business Development, the role will be part of the management team. Görel Hällqvist, former Head of Project Development at Sveafastigheter, will in connection with this change leave Sveafastigheter.
The change aligns with the company's growth strategy, which focuses on profitable organic growth by capitalising on the potential of its pure-play residential and development portfolio combined with increased efficiency.
The new role Head of Business Development will assume responsibility for new construction, business development, and the company's digitalisation initiatives. Gathering these functions under one leadership creates a clearer organisation that can commence construction of at least 600-800 apartments annually and obtain land allocation agreements for new production of at least 800 apartments annually for the next five years.
"We have a clear strategy that focuses on increasing profitability in our property portfolio and continuing to grow through our development portfolio. To best deliver on the strategy, we have decided to bring our new construction, business development, and digitalisation functions together under one leadership, which is fully in line with our focus on organic profitability and growth,” says Erik Hävermark, CEO of Sveafastigheter.
Lars Gärde has extensive experience in the real estate industry, and he has well-established relationships with key stakeholders in the company's development activities. He is also one of the founders of the earlier Sveafastigheter Bostad which is now part of Sveafastigheter.
Görel Hällqvist, former Head of Project Development at Sveafastigheter, will in connection with this change leave Sveafastigheter.
”I would like to thank Görel for the valuable exchange we had in the management team and her contribution to shaping today's Sveafastigheter. I wish her the best of luck in her future endeavours,” Erik Hävermark continues.
