Sdiptech (publ) forms new business areas for continued growth
Sdiptech is establishing four new business areas with clear common driving forces to optimize resources and strengthen the opportunities for continued growth. The new organization, which will apply from January 1, 2025, creates an even more dynamic structure to support the companies' growth opportunities and carry out new acquisitions.
Sdiptech's four business areas as of January 1, 2025:
- Supply chain & Transportation: Units with innovative solutions operating in modernizing and streamlining transport- and supply chains, driven by an increased demand for more sustainable and efficient logistics solutions.
- Energy & Electrification: Businesses that provide niche solutions in areas such as energy efficiency, electrification, power supply and temporary electricity. The growth potential of the units is driven by the transition to the future energy system, which enables sustainable production and efficient consumption of energy.
- Water & Bioeconomy: Units specializing in systems and technology in water, waste management, and efficient and circular use of natural resources. Growth is driven by population growth, urbanization, increased consumption and regulatory requirements for modernization of infrastructure.
- Safety & Security: Niche businesses that offer solutions in fire and personal safety, increased safety in both the workplace and in public environments, as well as information security. These units have strong driving forces that are underpinned by technological developments, changing societal needs and increased security requirements.
"This is a natural step in our development. With our new business areas, we get a clearer description of the strong drivers and trends that drive growth in our companies. We also create better conditions to support the companies, as well as to attract entrepreneurs who want to become part of Sdiptech. We are therefore convinced that the new organizational structure will add further value to the business. At the same time, we have conducted a thorough analysis to ensure a smooth transition from two to four business areas", says Bengt Lejdström, CEO of Sdiptech.
Heads of the new business areas will be appointed internally. In addition to a new organizational structure, two people in the company's current management team, Fredrik Navjord, Head of Resource Efficiency, and Steven Gilsdorf, Head of Acquisitions, have chosen to leave their positions to take on new challenges. They will leave the company at the end of February 2025. A new Head of Acquisitions will be recruited externally.
"We would like to take this opportunity to thank Fredrik and Steven for their valuable contributions over the years and wish them all the best in their future commitments", continues Bengt Lejdström.
Sdiptech will present a detailed description and breakdown of the four business areas in the group's year-end report. As part of the new organizational structure, Sdiptech has also decided to initiate a divestment of the Group's remaining elevator operations as they are not included in the strategic investment and development plan. The process has been initiated, which means that the unit will be reported separately in the Group's balance sheet and income statement from other operations in accordance with IFRS.
