OptiCept Inaugurates New Innovation Center in Thailand
Today, OptiCept Technologies ("Opti") inaugurated a new innovation center at Thammasat University ("Thammasat") in Bangkok, Thailand. The center will be equipped with OptiCept’s PEF (Pulsed Electric Field) technology for development and research within the food industry in Southeast Asia. Saab is sponsoring the innovation center.
On Wednesday, November 13, 2024, the new innovation center was inaugurated at Thammasat University in Bangkok, Thailand, one of Asia's most prominent academic institutions. The center aims to drive technological progress and foster collaboration between industry and academia, thereby promoting innovation and economic development in Thailand and Southeast Asia. The center will focus on productivity improvements within the food sector, a core area of OptiCept’s expertise. OptiCept will be able to bring customers to the center to demonstrate and test the technology.
"We have identified Thailand and Southeast Asia as strategically important markets for OptiCept, not least through the memorandum of understanding we signed with Saab. We are very proud of the opening of the innovation center. In addition to strengthening OptiCept’s local position, we are also strengthening the ties between Sweden and Thailand," says Thomas Lundqvist, CEO of OptiCept Technologies.
In addition to representatives from Thammasat and OptiCept, the Swedish embassy and invited guests also participated in the inauguration.
