<div class="mfn-header mfn-header-finland">Lamor Corporation Plc | Press Release | October 29, 2024 at 12:00:00 EET</div><div class="mfn-body">Lamor has been awarded with a 3-year agreement for environmental protection services in Colombia, with a total value of over EUR 2 million. Lamor will provide emergency response service for hydrocarbon spills with specialized personnel for customer’s operations.Lamor’s customer operates oil fields in several Colombian regions known for their significant oil reserves. The agreement aims at minimising the environmental and social impacts caused by hydrocarbon spill.Lamor will provide technical support in emergency response on all areas, stations and pipeline. Furthermore, Lamor will develop a spill control training program for the operational response personnel, update the contingency plan, carry out periodic reviews, recommendations and implementation of suggested improvements and changes.The service will be delivered together with a local strategic partner, SOS Contingencias, an emergency services company. Lamor has been responsible for a similar assignment since 2019 as part of a consortium, addressing the challenges posed by oil spills, and ensuring swift, comprehensive, and eco-conscious mitigation efforts.&nbsp;“We are extremely happy to continue this strategic partnership to protect the environment”, says Johanna Ochoa, Lamor’s Regional Proposal Manager for the Americas market area. “This type of services are often carried out in demanding conditions, in which we have proved our capability for successful implementation, thanks to our dedicated experts and employees.”Lamor has decades of experience in innovation and know-how of oil spill response technology and prevention, and recently announced a similar long-term service agreement in Peru.
