aXichem AB: aXichem Launches New aXivite Formulation, Strengthening the Company's Position as a Supplier of Innovative Ingredients for Fitness and Weight Management Nutrition Products
aXichem AB (publ), (aXichem) a pioneer of innovative natural analogue ingredients for the nutraceutical industry, is proud to announce the launch of a new aXivite formulation, aXivite TR (Target Release). aXivite TR is specifically designed and developed to be the active ingredient in sports nutrition and weight management products, maintaining the scientifically documented positive effects of phenylcapsaicin, but completely erasing the sensation of pungency.
Torsten Helsing, CEO at aXivhem comments:
"I'm very pleased to be able to present aXivite TR and to offer our customers a powerful ingredient, allowing new designs of innovative consumer products targeting the growing market of sports nutrition and weight management. aXivite TR is a brand new formulation of aXivite, architected to not release the pungency of phenylcapsaicin in the mouth but when the product reaches the stomach. So no sensation of heat is experienced in the mouth. aXivite TR opens for leveraging aXivite's documented impact on sports performance and weight loss and combining our product with for example exotic flavors and exciting features."
About phenylcapsaicin and aXivite
aXichem's proprietary molecule, phenylcapsaicin, combines the naturally occurring phenyl group with capsaicin, connected by a triple bond. The result is an innovative natural analog product with high purity, which in several studies has been shown to have the same health-promoting properties, as well as some unique benefits, as natural capsaicin.
A study, sponsored by aXichem, carried out in 2022, in collaboration with the Spanish companies LIFEPro Nutrition and Indiex Sport Nutrition and conducted at University of Pablo Olavide - High Performance Center (CIRFED), showed that phenylcapsaicin reduces the perception of fatigue and allows the athletes to train harder with maintained velocity, making more repetitions, until failure, possible. The data also show that phenylcapsaicin reduces muscle damage after work out. The study "Effects of different phenylcapsaicin doses on resistance training performance, muscle damage, protein breakdown, metabolic response, ratings of perceived exertion and recovery: A randomized, triple-blinded, placebo-controlled, crossover trial." has been published in Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition (JISSN).
Phenylcapsaicin is approved under Novel Food in the EU and GRAS Food in the USA and is marketed for dietary supplements and functional foods under the brand name aXivite.
