Biohits framtidsutsikter splittrade - tillväxt men också osäkerhet  Biohits verksamhet har varierat under de senaste åren. Även om omsättningen har ökat måttligt har den länge varit förlustbringande. År 2022 vände rörelseresultatet till vinst, men detta berodde delvis på effektivisering av verksamheten och är inte nödvändigtvis en permanent trend. Säker avkastning och enorm tillväxt?  Här är en färsk analys av ett intressant företag.                   Inderes              Biohit: Growth measures taking effect - Inderes    Biohit’s H2 exceeded our expectations in terms of growth and earnings were in line with our forecasts. Revenue growth was supported by positive development in various products and markets. We raise our revenue growth forecasts with the company’s good track record. We raise our earnings forecasts more moderately due to the increase in cost levels. The valuation picture has remained largely unchanged and the risk/reward ratio of the stock is attractive enough in our opinion to support a Buy recommendation.

Här är mina tankar om detta företag: Det har skett förändringar inom Biohit, och några större problem har också hamnat mer i bakgrunden. Detta grundar sig inte på en exakt analys, men den “nya” VD:n verkar vara försäljningsinriktad och rationell, och det verkar som att företaget gör rätt saker. Även om jag inte är någon särskild expert inom branschen och inte själv har exakta detaljkunskaper om ärendena, vet jag inte om företaget faktiskt gör de rätta besluten eller bara marknadsför sig så väl just nu att jag är nöjd.  Riskfaktorn för företaget har nämnts både i en omfattande rapport och fortsatt företagsrapport att det är beroende av den kinesiska marknaden. Kina är alltid… hmm… utmanande eller verkar åtminstone så. Jag funderar också på att Biohit förmodligen behöver nya produkter, och enligt min åsikt, om det fanns stora produkter på väg inom de närmaste åren, skulle det antydas eller berättas på något sätt. Biohit har begränsade resurser, om man bara tänker på storleken, även om det finns en stor kassa, men ändå. Å andra sidan kan man av konkurrensskäl inte heller ropa för mycket om det. Jag vet inte när företaget har gamla produkter och det verkar som att det är svårt att få något större ut av dem med resurserna från ett sådant litet företag. Visst är små ökningar i intäkterna bra, om kostnaderna inte ökar mer än fördelen från intäkterna. Den nya strategin låter bra, jag själv fick inte ut några exakt starka fakta från den, så jag jublar inte mer om det, men det handlar säkert också delvis om min förståelse. Att fokusera på mag-tarmkanalens frågor är förmodligen fortfarande rätt beslut, att utvidga marknadsföringen låter alltid bra (naturligtvis kan det bli mer kostnader än fördelar), att komplettera produktutbudet låter rimligt (självklart skulle några hänvisningar till nya starka produkter vara trevligt), och att fokusera på försäljning kan spela en mycket stor roll; eftersom försäljningen ofta har varit ett hinder för finländska företag och deras produkter. GastroPanel® har burit, bär och kommer förmodligen fortsätta att bära företaget framåt. En sådan produktfamilj ger stabilitet och grund. Tydligen har den en god ryktbarhet, är lättanvänd och fungerar som ett effektivt screeningverktyg, men tydligen inte tillräckligt exakt för mer detaljerade undersökningar eller något liknande. Genom att titta på siffrorna har det varit en vändpunkt, och siffrorna har gått åt rätt håll. En stark balans minskar risken. Jag lockas åt rätt håll av de positiva siffrorna och den tidigare nämnda balansen, samt den säljinriktade VD:n, som verkar förstå rationalisering av verksamheten. GastroPanel spelar en viktig roll, även om företaget tydligt behöver nya produkter vid sidan av de äldre och vidareutvecklingsbara produktfamiljerna. Om effektiviseringen “snyggar till siffrorna” ytterligare och den nuvarande säljinriktningen tar ut potentialen kraftigt, kommer jag som investerare att andas ut de kommande åren. Men som lekman och okunnig inom området är jag spänd över hur ett litet företag kan utveckla och marknadsföra nya produkter som skulle bära ännu längre.
