Positive installation outlook continues to grow
[Stockholm, 7 October 2024] – Although SinterCast previously informed that one of its high volume series production programmes was scheduled to stop production at the end of August, the production continued through much of September. The prolongation of the programme into September contributed approximately 200,000 Engine Equivalents, resulting in the production of 3.7 million Engine Equivalents, more than 5% above the expected production level. Overall, the third quarter production was impacted by prolonged summer shutdowns at most of our Western customers, resulting in annualised production of 3.5 million Engine Equivalents for the quarter. Year-to-date series production is 3.8 million Engine Equivalents, up 2% year-on-year.
“September brought better than expected series production, new orders for Ladle Tracker and CGI production installations, and continued progress in our discussions for installation opportunities that are making their way through the pipeline. Together, the new installation commitments and the ongoing discussions reinforce our confidence in beating our historical average of SEK 8 million in installation revenue in both 2024 and 2025” said Dr Steve Dawson, President & CEO of SinterCast. “We are committed to commissioning as many of the installations as possible before the end of the year, to provide the benefits to our customers and to maximise our full-year revenue. Any installations that extend beyond year-end will simply provide a running start to 2025 – for our customers and for SinterCast.”
