<div class="abstract">&nbsp;Peab has been commissioned to build a combined heat and power plant in Örtofta. The customer is Kraftringen Energi and the contract is worth SEK 388 million. &nbsp;&nbsp;</div>The new CHP plant will be built north of Road 104 in Örtofta, next to the existing plant. The plant will complement the existing one and replace some older production units. The plant will be equipped with flue gas condensation and a turbine for electricity production. The CHP plant will comprise one main building of 11,300 m2 gross area.The new plant will almost double production capacity, which means that Kraftringen will be able to supply a maximum power effect in the grid of about 25 MW to new electricity consumers. It is also a step towards a more robust and sustainable energy system in Skåne."It's important to us to meet current and future energy needs sustainably. Our efforts to continuously improve our production have led to a 94 percent reduction in our climate emissions. The new CHP plant will further streamline and improve our production," says Patrik Schneider, Production Manager at Kraftringen's Heating &amp; Cooling business area."We're pleased and proud to have been entrusted with building this new facility for Kraftringen and to contribute with our expertise to supplying the region with energy," says Olle Olsson, Region Manager Peab.The project is a turnkey contract regarding construction and land.
