Nordic Iron Ore appoints Interim Environmental Manager
Nordic Iron Ore has assigned Geosyntec to handle the environmental permit for the Blötberget mine, and to handle the outcome from the Land and Environment Court regarding the application for prolonged work time for the water facilities with the goal of being able to start construction work of the mine according to the current plan at the end of 2025. The assignment is now being expanded with to appointment of Malin Ekåsen as Interim Environmental Manager while the recruitment process for a permanent Director EHS (Environmental, Health, Safety) is ongoing. Malin is a consultant at Geosyntec and has worked as an environmental consultant for about 20 years with, among other things, environmental strategic advice, environmental permits and contaminated land and buildings. In her role as Interim Environmental Manager, she will report directly to CEO Ronne Hamerslag.
