Insplorion signs Letter of Intent with Saab AB for new collaborative project in the aviation industry
With a new letter of intent, Insplorion strengthens both its collaboration with Saab and its position in the future aviation industry. The parties will jointly respond to a request from a renowned player in the aviation industry looking to select partners for the long-term development of hydrogen detection capabilities.
After signing a project agreement with a customer in the aviation industry in 2023, Insplorion also established a Vinnova funded collaboration in this field with Saab during 2024. With this announced letter of intent, the relationship between Insplorion and Saab are further strengthened as they aim to jointly respond to a request from a major player in the aviation industry.
The collaborative project aims to qualify the parties to act as a development partner for the customer's hydrogen program over several years. The focus is on advancing the technology’s maturity to a level where it is ready for testing in the aviation industry.
"Hydrogen has great potential to be one of the solutions for the sustainable aviation industry of the future, but certainly, this requires flawless safety. Insplorion’s technology plays a crucial role in this, and we are very positive about getting another opportunity to prove this together with Saab," says Johan Rask, CEO of Insplorion.
Over time, Insplorion and Saab also plan to expand their collaboration to support other actors and applications in the field of hydrogen detection for the aviation industry.
