Alimak Group commits to the Science Based Targets initiative
Alimak Group has committed to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), and will set targets aligned with the Paris Agreement.
“SBTi is the next logical step for the Group, and it underscores our ongoing efforts to decrease the environmental impact and drive positive change across our value chain,” says Ole Kristian Jødahl, CEO of Alimak Group.
Through extensive analysis of both direct emissions and those associated with the value chain, Alimak Group has made significant strides in establishing a solid emissions baseline. This has enabled the Group to implement tangible improvements, with ongoing initiatives set to drive further progress.
The SBTi is a collaboration between Carbon Disclosure Project, the United Nations Global Compact, the World Resources Institute, and the World Wide Fund for Nature that helps companies set ambitious and science-based greenhouse gas emission reduction targets.
