Asetek: Enters a license agreement with a global console manufacturer
Asetek, a manufacturer of high-end gaming hardware for liquid cooling and Sim-racing, announced it has entered a license agreement with a global console manufacturer, currently non-disclosed. Asetek expects the first SimSports products for console will be ready to launch next year, in H2 2025, according to CEO André Sloth Eriksen. The agreement is part of a broader multi-channel go-to-market plan to accelerate growth in SimSports.
According to Asetek, around 80% of lifetime players of e-racing games are console-based, extending Asetek’s audience beyond its currently addressed PC-gaming market, which constitutes the remaining 20%. The console product launch will follow a more mid-market SimSports product line for PCs earlier in 2025, and the name of the global console manufacturer involved will be announced as soon as permission has been granted.

Asetek
Asetek is a global leader within liquid cooling solutions for high-end PC’s and also produces high-end equipment for SimSports. Asetek was listed on the OBX Oslo Stock Exchange in 2013. Asetek’s liquid cooling of high-end PC’s and eSports enthusiasts is its largest segment. Its sealed loop liquid cooler supports the thermal challenges of the computers and can also be implemented at data centers to provide significant energy savings and recapturing of heat against the air cooling industry norm; however, this segment remains relatively smaller. In 2021 Asetek made its first expansion into the SimSports Gaming market with its high-end SimRacing pedals, designed to create an immersive experience for sim racers. Asetek plans to expand further into the SimRacing value chain with ambitions to release wheelbases, steering wheels, shifters, and other end-user customization options.
